Sprinkle on the rest of the onions and the cut up broccoli florets. Top with 8 slices of Swiss cheese to cover the broccoli. If you are using the optional Swiss Cheese sauce, bring 1 cup chicken stock to a simmer in a small saute pan on the stove top. Then add in the rest of the cheese sauce ingredients and stir until everything is combined and thickened, about minutes.
Remove from the heat until ready to serve. Remove casserole from the oven and allow it to rest 5 minutes before serving. Top with a dollop of Swiss cheese sauce if desired, and enjoy! Yes, you will put it with the breadcrumbs. Thanks for catching it. I already correct it on the instructions. Yes, you add it to the bread crumb mixture.
I will adjust the recipe to clear further confusion. Thanks for pointing it out! I made it straight up from recipe. Looked the same as picture when finished too. Not good! Measurements for ingredients were way off. Panko, pepper and cayenne needs to be cut in half.
Smoked paprika needs to be tsp not tbsp. Way too much heat and smoke. Also rather dry, definitely not creamy. Underwhelming at best. I thought it could use more cheese and maybe some sour cream or Greek yogurt to create more of a sauce.
Still in all, I liked the taste of the dish and will make it again, with a few minor changes. Almost tasty. I found it to be too much paprika and too much pepper. Very easy to make. It seem like it is lacking something and need something to give it moisture. What would you suggest?
